One-to-one lessons cost a flat £30 an hour. Book three or more lessons a week and every lesson drops to £27.50. Book the whole year and pay upfront, and it's £25.
Those rates are the same whether it's KS3, GCSE, A-Level or Functional Skills. No sign-up fee, no matching fee, no charge for the tutor's planning time, and the 30-minute trial costs nothing. The one exception is seasonal: our November resit sprint runs at £35 a lesson from October until the exams.

£30 is the standard rate for every lesson. The two discounts are earned by booking more lessons each week, or by committing to the full year in advance. Ask us if you're unsure which applies.

The November GCSE resit series covers Maths and English Language, and the runway from October is only a few weeks. Our resit sprint is live one-to-one tutoring built entirely around that one exam, at £35 per 60-minute lesson. It runs from October until the exam, then stops.

A normal term spreads the work out. In a November sprint, a tutor is preparing several students for the same papers at the same time, with no slack in the calendar.
Each lesson is built from the student's own weak areas on past papers, and the plan is rewritten week by week as gaps close. That's more planning time per lesson than a regular term.
Many resit students are at college or working. Tutors keep late and weekend slots open through the sprint so lessons fit around that.
This is about timing and workload, not subject difficulty. The same Maths or English tutoring outside the November window goes back to the standard £30, and even at £35 the sprint sits below the reported UK average of about £37.50 an hour.

Savings are measured against the £30 standard rate across the same number of lessons. Monthly examples assume four weeks. Lessons are 60 minutes unless you've agreed something different with your tutor.
What the money buys
The price covers the live one-to-one lesson, the tutor's preparation, guided practice, homework and exam-question support, and progress feedback for parents. Nothing on this page is an add-on.
Plenty of agencies charge more for A-Level Maths than for KS3 English. We don't. A tutor's hour is a tutor's hour. The November sprint's £35 reflects the compressed timing, not the subject.
Every level, one rate
No. KS3, GCSE, A-Level and Functional Skills Level 2 all cost the same £30 a lesson, and every subject is charged at that rate. The only exception is seasonal: the November resit sprint, which runs at £35 from October until the exam.

The wider market
Published UK averages for one-to-one tutoring sit at roughly £37 to £38 an hour. Tutorful reports a platform average of £37.45, and a Parentkind/YouGov survey reported by The Times put the average at £37.50. Our standard rate is £30, £25 on the annual plan, and even the £35 November resit sprint sits below the average.
Across a full year of weekly lessons, the gap adds up. Forty-eight lessons at the £37.50 average comes to £1,800. The same forty-eight lessons on our annual plan cost £1,200.
We're not the cheapest option in the country and we won't pretend to be. Tutoring marketplaces list tutors from around £15 an hour, usually students or new tutors building a profile. Specialist A-Level Maths tutors with strong degrees regularly charge £60 or more.
Our rate sits deliberately below the mainstream average while keeping lessons one-to-one, hand-matched and tied to the student's exam board. Where you land in that spread is a judgement call, and it should be an informed one.

Payment and flexibility
The trial is free and takes no card details. After that, pay as you go and the 3+ lessons rate are billed monthly in advance for the lessons you've booked. The annual plan is paid in full upfront, which is what earns the £25 rate. The November sprint is paid in advance for the lessons booked up to the exam.
You meet the tutor for 30 minutes first. No card details, no deposit, no obligation to book a single lesson afterwards. If the match is wrong, that's the end of it and it costs you nothing.
Pay as you go and 3+ a week are paid at the start of each month for the lessons booked. The annual plan is a single payment of £1,200 at the start. Either way, you'll know the exact amount before anything leaves your account.
Pay as you go and 3+ a week can stop at the end of any month, for any reason, without explaining yourself. Drop below three lessons a week and those lessons simply return to the standard £30 rate.
Life happens. Give the tutor 24 hours' notice and the lesson moves at no cost. Missed lessons without notice can't usually be recovered, because the tutor has already held and prepared the slot.
If the fit turns out wrong three weeks in, tell us and we'll rematch. You don't restart a plan, lose lessons or pay a fee. Fit matters more in one-to-one teaching than in any other format.
November sprint lessons are paid in advance for the lessons you book, and stop after the exam with nothing further billed. If the student carries on afterwards, lessons move to the standard £30 rate.

Choosing
Most families take the trial, then start pay as you go at £30 a lesson. Once it's clearly working, those who want more lessons a week or a full year of support move to a discounted rate. There's no advantage to committing before you know.
You want one or two lessons a week, you're testing whether tutoring helps at all, or the schedule is genuinely unpredictable. £30 a lesson, walk away whenever.
You want an intensive run-up before mocks or summer finals, or the student needs heavier support to catch up quickly. Every lesson drops to £27.50 while you're booking three or more a week.
You're supporting a full GCSE or A-Level year, or rebuilding foundations at KS3 where there's no quick fix, and you're happy to pay for the year upfront. At £25 it's the cheapest rate by some distance.
The student is resitting GCSE Maths or English Language this November and has only a few weeks left. £35 a lesson, focused entirely on that one exam, and it ends when the exam does.
