Your child knows the words but freezes when it's time to speak. Or they can follow a reading passage but lose marks when writing their own sentences. Our one-to-one GCSE Spanish tutoring works on the part that's holding them back.
RS Remote Tutoring provides live online lessons built around your child's course, current level and goals. A GCSE Spanish tutor can slow down an explanation, practise it with them and correct mistakes while they're doing the work.

What lessons cover
What does GCSE Spanish tutoring cover?
Our GCSE Spanish tutoring brings speaking, listening, reading and writing together with the vocabulary and grammar each task needs. Lessons focus on your child's weak points, with guided practice and feedback that helps them understand how to improve their next answer.
Speaking confidence and pronunciation
Knowing an answer and saying it aloud are different skills. Your child gets time to practise forming responses, pronouncing words and keeping a conversation going without the pressure of speaking in front of a class.
We work through mistakes as they happen. That makes practice more useful than memorising a long answer without understanding how to adapt it when the question changes.
Listening, reading and vocabulary
A familiar word can sound different in a sentence. Listening practice helps your child connect sounds with meaning, while reading work helps them use the words around an unfamiliar phrase to make sense of it.
Vocabulary practice supports the topics they're studying at school. The aim is to use words in context, rather than remember a list for one test and forget it the following week.
Writing, grammar and translation
We break down sentence building, verb forms, tense choices and word order. Your child practises turning their own ideas into Spanish, then checks what needs correcting and why.
Translation work links meaning with accurate language. Lessons can use current homework or exam-style questions so the practice stays relevant to the student's course.
Practice for the actual assessment
Your child's exam board, specification and tier shape the question practice. Reading aloud, dictation and other assessment tasks are addressed where they form part of the student's course. We confirm the course match before arranging the trial.
Speaking, listening, reading and writing are practised together, guided by the learner's needs.
The right starting point
Who is one-to-one Spanish tuition suitable for?
One-to-one Spanish tuition suits GCSE students who need clearer explanations, more speaking practice or help applying what they know in exam questions. It can support Year 10 foundations and Year 11 preparation, with lessons shaped around the learner's current needs.
Your child might need help because they:
avoid answering aloud, even when they recognise the vocabulary;
confuse verb forms or switch tenses without realising;
find spoken Spanish harder to follow than written Spanish;
have gaps after missed lessons or a difficult term;
need a clearer plan before a mock or final assessment.
The priority is to identify the gap, then practise it properly. Repeating a whole textbook is rarely the best use of a student's lesson time.
One-to-one practice gives a student time to listen, try an answer and respond aloud.

Four steps to get started
How do we match your child with a GCSE Spanish tutor?
We match your child with a GCSE Spanish tutor using their course, current performance, goals, learning needs and available times. A person reviews those details before suggesting a tutor. The free trial lets your family judge the fit before paying for lessons.
Tell us the starting point. Add the year group, exam board and tier if known, the main difficulty and suitable times to the trial form.
Receive a tutor match. Our team checks the course and timetable before arranging the session.
Try a free 30-minute lesson. Meet the tutor on Zoom and see how they explain and work with your child.
Continue if the fit is right. Book lessons, review progress and adjust the focus as your child's needs change.
If you don't know the exam board, send the course name or details from school. For International GCSE or another qualification, give its full name so we can check the correct course.
GCSE Spanish tutoring costs £30 for a 60-minute one-to-one lesson at our standard rate. Start with a free 30-minute trial, with no card details required and no obligation to continue. You decide whether to book lessons after meeting the tutor.

There are no sign-up or joining fees. Our team explains the booking, cancellation and rescheduling terms before payment. Ask about the published term and annual plans if you're considering regular lessons.
RS Remote Tutoring combines personal tutor matching with live one-to-one teaching and feedback parents can use. We have traded since 2020 and are led by founder and head tutor Rumaan Aslam. Your family has a team to contact throughout the arrangement.
Lessons move at your child's pace
The tutor can stop at a misunderstood verb form, repeat a listening task or give your child another attempt at a spoken answer. They don't have to move on because a group is ready.
Parents know what needs attention
Progress feedback explains what was covered, what is improving and what to focus on next. If the tutor match doesn't feel right, tell our team so we can review it.
A clear first step
The free trial lets you experience the teaching before choosing regular lessons. Our published safeguarding policy explains tutor checks and how parents can raise concerns.
Spanish support sits within our online GCSE tutoring. If your child needs another subject as well, our team can consider each requirement when arranging the support.

Common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Practical answers about lessons, course matching and starting with a free trial.
Can lessons focus on the Spanish speaking assessment?
Yes. Speaking practice can focus on pronunciation, forming responses and answering aloud. We use the student's course requirements to guide the work, rather than assume every board uses the same tasks.
Do lessons only cover speaking?
No. Lessons can also cover listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar and translation. The balance depends on the student's weak points and upcoming school or exam work.
Can you support Foundation and Higher tier?
Tell us which tier your child is taking so we can confirm a suitable course match. Foundation and Higher work should reflect the demands of the student's actual assessment.
What if my child feels nervous speaking Spanish?
One-to-one lessons give them time to practise without a classroom audience. The tutor can slow down, model a response and help them try again. Confidence develops through practice, not pressure to get everything right immediately.
Is the first lesson free?
The first trial is free and lasts 30 minutes. No card details are required, and there is no obligation to book regular lessons afterwards.
How much are regular lessons?
The standard price is £30 for a 60-minute one-to-one lesson. Ask our team about the published plans if you want regular weekly support.
Can the tutor help with school homework?
Yes. Lessons can use current homework or exam questions to work on the underlying skill. The student does the practice and receives guidance, rather than having someone complete the work for them.
How do we book a trial?
Use the trial form and enter GCSE Spanish as the subject. Add the year group, course details if known, suitable times and the main area of difficulty. Our team will match a tutor and confirm the time.
